[Blue is mulling about the Memory Tree, like he said he would be; he's looking for Aiada puffs in the meantime, since they like to mill around here. Exeggutor is happily chillin' nearby. He likes this big ol' tree. It reminds him of himself!]

So? What'd you wanna give me... [Blue ducks his chin, trying to look more inconvenienced than bashful.]

[archie's mightyena shows up first, as it tends to do. trots up to blue and sniff sniff snuffs at him, tail wagging, tongue lolling. generally just fucking delighted to see him in the way that most canine pokémon are delighted about everything.

the man himself follows a little while later, holding a small box. holds it out.]

[inside, blue will find two little figures of the hoenn rangers; hoenn blue and hoenn red. carved out of wood and painted to the best of archie's memory of them. they might be slightly inaccurate, but it's been a long time since he's seen them!]

[Mightyena, being of utmost importance anyway, receives some good pats from Blue who cheerfully greets him when he shows up. Archie is given the barest of glances until he actually stands in front of him holding out the box.]

[Blue looks a little skeptical, maybe, as he takes it and opens it up- his brows furrow as he glances inside and it takes him a moment to recognize what he’s looking at-]

[When he does, there’s a hard repression in his expression, but a small cracking in the cobble under his boots.] I’m not a little kid anymore....

[He glances at it, taking the Blue one out and turning it over in his hand, looking at the little details- and carefully places it back inside. He doesn’t even look over the Red one.]

[Blue manages a small smile to himself. Awww... Golisopod. A good boy. Of course he helped!!]

[He tucks the box under his arm with a sigh and casts a halfhearted nod in Archie's direction. He might as well be thankful that he was thought of at all..... And he is, he thinks- he just doesn't know how to feel about that, exactly.]

[It was sort of... weird.]

Most stuff around here is boring, that's for sure. [Because it isn't Pokémon related!!] They still show the syndicated episodes in Kanto, I think. Daytime TV. I've seen them flipping through a few times when I happened to be home...

[Blue blinks, and makes a face. He doesn't know how he should feel that Archie shares an Arehtei with Killua.... But then again, it seemed like Peromei wasn't too uncommon.]

[Maybe there was something about their character that was just... common? He wonders what kind of emotion it was.]

I'm aligned to Aiada! [He puffs his chest out proudly.] Who's obviously the best one, cuz she's so nice. She never seemed to mind returning my Pokémon to me.

Hmmm, Peromei wasn't too upset about gettin' me mine. She looks like a cross between a Gogoat and an Altaria... lives in this tree, actually.

[he waves up at one of the big cracks in the bark, like if she's in there she could see it. she probably is not.]

Looks like a Muk when she's overwhelmed with our despair, though...

[Blue hums to himself. Arehtei really did have a lot of Pokémon-like attributes- he glances up to the tree with surprise, as if expecting to see Peromei there. He hadn't met her before.]

I see Aiada's sprites around here a lot, too. This tree has some weird powers, right? I wonder why they all hang around here...
